Tigers arrange third pre-season friendly against one of Lancashire's most famous clubs.
THE Tigers have arranged a third pre-season friendly for Saturday, August 26, kick-off 3pm, against National League Division Three side Fylde, with admission once again free. Director of Rugby Tim Fourie could have the services of Sale Sharks’ loan players Chris Leck (scrum-half) and Marc Jones (hooker) available for selection, although lock Sean Cox looks set to remain with his parent club a while longer. All three played for the Sharks’ XV that narrowly pipped the Tigers 17-20 recently. Last Saturday Fylde hosted one of the Tigers' forthcoming opponents in National One, Waterloo, and beat them 24-10, so they are unlikely to be a pushover despite the two division gap. But before that, the Second XV is in action on Wednesday, August 23, when they travel to Priory Park to take on another National League Division Three North outfit, Macclesfield. Kickoff is 7.30pm. |
