Bedford Blues 24 Coventry 16

On Friday night Bedford Blues were comfortable winners over Coventry to move up to 8th in the table.
Ben Russell gave the visitors a 12th minute lead but the lead last just three minutes. The Blues were over the Coventry line as left wing Alex Page touched down and Jon Elrick converted. Six minutes later they were 14-3 ahead after former Northampton hooker Dan Richmond went over and Elrick again converted for 14-3. Russell put over a couple of penalty goals before the break to narrow it to 14-9.
Elrick put over a penalty goal six minutes into the second half and when he converted a try form prop Marco Cecere on 68 minutes the win was secured as they went 24-9 ahead.
The visitors did get a consolation try deep in injury time when replacement scrum half Michael Walls went over and added the conversion.
Cornish Pirates 30 Exeter Chiefs 23

The Pirates make it five wins out of six as the sent the Chiefs down to their first defeat of the season.
The home side were ahead in the first minute when back row man Iva Motusaga went over and Gareth Steenson converted for 7-0.
Danny Gray pulled three points back for the visitors on 7 minutes but four minutes later Steenson replied for the home side to make it 10-3. Two more Steenson penalty goals made it 16-3 at the end of the first quarter. Just before the half hour mark and the Chiefs were right back in it when winger Josh Drauniniu touched down and Gray converted to get within a score. Steenson added a fourth penalty goal just before the break to lead by nine at the break.
Gray and Steenson swapped penalties in the opening 10 minutes of the second half before the visitors got back within striking distance when flanker Chad Slade touched down to make it 22-18.
Just after the hour mark Steenson put over a 6th penalty goal but four minutes later and the Chiefs were over for a third try as Drauniniu completed a double and it was a two point game as Gray missed the conversion to tie the scores.
The win was wrapped up in the 80th minute when the home side got a second try as James Moore went over.
Doncaster 27 Pertemps Bees 14

Doncaster made it six out of six with this home win over bottom of the table as they beat the Pertemps Bees picking up all five points on offer against the bottom of the table side.
There was a hat trick for winger Donovan Van Vuuren after hooker Steve Boden got things going on 15 minutes. Mark Woodrow added a couple of conversions and slotted over a penalty goal.
For the visitors there tries from full back Reece Spee and centre Peter Murchie but they remain bottom with just one point form six matches.
London Welsh 20 Nottingham 30

Nottingham are up into sixth place after this away win at Old Deer Park against London Welsh.
Two tries in the opening seven minutes saw the home side go 10-o ahead after No 8 Hywel Jenkins and scrum half Alan Chiltern touch down.
Tom Barlow got the visitors off the mark with a 12th minute penalty goal and they were level on 19 minutes when No 8 Dan Montague went over and Barlow Just after the half hour mark they pulled ahead when flanker Luke Sherriff went over and Barlow again converted for 17-10.
Tries either side of half time by winger Greg Evans and prop Nick Adams saw the home side turn it round and go into a 20-17 lead after 49 minutes.
Barlow levelled on 56 minutes with a penalty goal and just after the hour mark they were back in the lead with a try from full back Rohan Nirmalendran and Sherriff completed a double to go into a 30-10 lead and secure the try bonus point.
Moseley 21 Newbury 27

Newbury picked up just their second win of the season with this narrow win over Moseley. Centre Chris Ashwin kicked the visitors 6-0 ahead with two penalty goals in the opening 11 minutes. And when he converted an 18th minute penalty try they were 13-0 ahead. Second row Dan Tuohy got the home side off the mark with a try on 21 minutes and when left wing Dan Norton touched down six minutes later and Matt Jones converted they were a point down. The rest of the half was dominated by the boot as Ashwin put over a couple of penalty goal s and Jones one to give the visitors a 19-15 half time lead.
Fly half Tim Walsh dropped a goal eight minutes into the second half to go seven points clear. Jones closed the gap with his 2nd penalty goal before right wing Martin Nutt touched down just before the hour to go 2718 ahead and get some breathing space.
Jones kicked a third penalty goal to narrow the gap again on 67 minutes but that was the end of the scoring and Newbury took the win.
Plymouth Albion 50 Cornish All Blacks 7

Comprehensive win for Plymouth Albion over Cornish All Blacks at Brickfields running in eight tries along the way with five of them coming in the first half
Leading the way were the winger Liam Gibson and Nicholas Sestaret who both completed doubles as the backs ran in seven of the eight tries. The only forward to get on the scoreboard was No 8 Adam Kettle just after the hour mark.
The visitors did manage a try as prop Wayne Reed went over and Stuart Alred converted.
Rotherham Titans 29 Esher 24

The Titans make it three wins out of six with this win over Esher at Clifton Lane and were pushed all the way with both tries picking up a try bonus point for scoring four tries apiece.
Rotherham were ahead on nine minutes when Michael Whitehead put over a penalty goal for a 3-0 lead. Eight minutes later they were 10- ahead after a try form fly half Brendan Nolan and Whitehead converted. Centre Rob Connolly was next over the Esher try line as they went 15-0 ahead. Two tries in six minutes from winger Jon Feely saw the Titans go into a 29-0 lead with Whitehead converting both and a big score looked on the cards just six minutes into the second half.
Esher had other ideas and clawed there way back into the game. Leading the way was prop Duncan Cormack with a double and there was also tries for second row James Inglis and their final try was a penalty try awarded by referee Andrew Vertigan on 79 minutes to get them back to within four points. That was the end of the scoring and Esher had to settle for two bonus points.
Sedgley Park 8 Northampton Saints 59

Northampton Saints made it six out of six with this comprehensive away win at Park Lane against Sedgley Park.
They ran in nine tries with former Wigan RL star Chris Ashton running in a hat trick to move onto five for the season.
There was a double for flanker Darren Fox in the first half. They ran in five first half tries to lead 33-3.
Steve Myler did the goal kicking and converted seven of the Saints nine tries.
The home side did manage to cross the Saints line late in the match when No 8 Jon Skurr went over.
