PREVIEW: TIGERS v PLYMOUTH

Plymouth AlbionHAVING narrowly lost to Bedford and the Pirates, can the Tigers step it up again to topple full-time Plymouth Albion at Park Lane?

“They’ve always relied on a dominating pack that bully and pressure you into unforced errors and a loss of discipline,” said Tigers’ backs coach, Andy Northey.

“To combat that and Ross Laidlaw’s kicking – he turns the penalties gained into points – we will have to improve our decision making and tighten up our discipline; we can’t afford to give points away. If we can do that and push the effort up another couple of notches, I believe we are capable of beating Plymouth.”

Leading try scorer Jan Van DeVenter is out with a knee injury, although scrum-half Jamie Albinson and centre Chris Briers have recovered from neck and ankle injuries and are both be back in the frame to face Albion.
