PREVIEW: NEWBURY v TIGERS
Written by Peter Collins
Friday, 04 January 2008

NewburyILLNESS and injury has forced the Tigers into a number of changes for the trip to Newbury (kick-off 3pm).

With left wing Jan Van DeVenter falling victim to the flu and Chris Hall still nursing a knee injury, Matt Riley is switched from fullback to centre, where he partners former Scotland international Andy Craig, while Chris Briers moves out to occupy the No 11 shirt.

In the forwards Glen Townson is out with a thigh strain and so Director of Rugby Tim Fourie pulls on the Number 4 shirt to team up with Ed Norris in the boiler room.

Scrum-half Chris Leck is another flu victim so the Tigers bring in Tom Albinson as the only back on the bench, where there is a return for Danny Birchall and Second XV player-coach, Rich Senior, who is one of six forward replacements.
