WEDNESDAY night’s Lancashire Cup quarter-final clash against local rivals Manchester has been postponed due to the condition of the Park Lane pitch.

If organisers Lancashire County RFU agree, the 2nd XV Miller Homes League Bateman BMW Premier fixture between the two at Park Lane on Saturday, February 2, will count as both a league game and quarter-final decider.

“The pitch is in a poor state at the moment with all the rain we’ve had and it will be a struggle to get it fit for Saturday’s National Division One clash with Esher, as the forecast for the weekend is not good either,” said Tigers’ President, Geoff Roberts.
