Flank forward Ty Newall, a popular and influential player with Sedgley’s under 13s, suffered a broken tibia at Anselmians on Sunday.

He was forced to stay overnight for treatment at the local Arrow Park Hospital. After a worrying initial investigation the proposed surgery was ruled out, allowing Ty to return home to start his recovery and his parents to rest a little more easily.

Our best wishes go to Ty, who showed great courage. His team-mates and all at Sedgley Park wish him a speedy and full recovery and an early return to action.

The team management would also like to record their thanks to the Anselmians’ coaching staff for their assistance to Ty during his ordeal.
