London WelshLONDON Welsh visit Park Lane (kick-off 2.30pm) with the Tigers eager to carry on where they left off at Plymouth.

“Welsh are a big outfit and play a very tight game. Down at their place earlier in the season we were in control at half-time but lost our composure and ended up losing 23-21; we can’t afford to do that again,” said Tigers’ Director of Rugby, Tim Fourie.

The backline remains the same, except for Jamie Albinson starting at scrum-half, with Chris Leck moving to the bench. There was a fear Leeds Carnegie might recall Luther Burrell, but the powerful centre retains the Number 12 shirt.

However, there are a few changes in the forwards. Skipper Jimmy Ponton picked up a medial ligament injury down at Plymouth and is replaced in the backrow by Fourie himself.

Ed Norris joins Glen Townson in the second row while fit again Phil Gazzola is back at loose head, replacing Alistair Livesey who is another knee victim. Martin Halsall starts on the bench, which also includes Freeman Payne
